Wideband acoustic modulation using periodic poroelastic composite structures

We proposed an effective acoustic abatement solution comprised of periodic resonators and multi-panel structures with porous lining, which incorporates the wideband capability materials low-frequency advantage locally resonant together. Theoretical model numerical implementation are developed validated. Two-dimensional poroelastic field expressions used resonator forces incorporated. The results agree well those reported in literature obtained from finite element method. It turns out that sound insulation concerning both amplitude tuning bandwidth can be achieved effectively using additions locally-resonant designs. This study presents a promising practical alternative for modulation.
